ABOUT - continued

.... which he has the talent and technology to realize.  We have been friends for many years, and he has included me in several of his projects as a harmonica player, and an actor.  His input, skill, and equipment really made this project the professional production that you now hear. He volunteered huge blocks of expensive studio time to this song , as only a true friend would do. He also believed in the project and wanted it to reach its full  potential, which it wouldn't have without him.  Please take time to open the link to his web site, Up Against The Wall Productions (U.A.T.W.)

I met Tom Foley through Chazz.  Much like Chazz, he possesses incredible talent.  He put the guitar tracks down in virtually one take, and added a whole new depth to the song. He made himself readily available when called upon, and even donated his skill with creating web sites to make this site you are visiting now. A link to his web site is also included, and you can see and hear his work there.

The vocal lead into the bagpipes was performed Keith Anthony Fluitt, a  singer and vocal arranger.  From National Jingles to Touring the world and recording with Artist such as: Ashford & Simpson, Harry Belefonte, The Pet Shop Boys, Michael Jackson, Martha Wash, just to name a few, Keith is an amazing talent with an impressive resume.  He is a valuable member of the UATW Team!

Bobby Corcoran worked with me and Tim in Narcotics.  He is a deity in the realm of bag pipe players, who has competed world wide.  He served many years in the Marine Corps and to this day serves with the Air National Guard.  A large and daunting persona who makes you glad he's on our side, Bobby loved the song and was glad to take the time to help out. I guess you can all see why I wanted the pipes in this song.

I met Hal Stroud during some of my travels almost 20 years ago.  We have the biker-cop connection, and I consider him one of my closest friends.  He took the time to fly up here to sing the song after I sent him a copy of it. He put it on his MP3 player and listened to it over and over, singing along with it, and making it his own, as he does with anything he sings.  He is an unbelievable talent, who never pursued a career in music.  He loves being a cop, and with 25 years on the job, he's out doing what Steve did, in Raleigh North Carolina’s ESU.  Some people questioned why I was bringing someone from so far away just to sing this song, but as soon as they heard him, there were no more questions.  As Chazz said, nobody tells a story better than a country singer.  I also felt that his voice would add a whole Rebel & Yank coming together theme, just like it was after 9/11 when this country was united as ONE NATION UNDER GOD.

Thanks for taking the time to visit this site, and be a part of our project.  Please pass it on to someone who you think would appreciate it.  I had to listen to the song over 50 times before I could hear it and keep a dry eye.  Many of you have had the same reaction. That is a respect our fallen heroes feel, as they wait for the day "When We See Them In Heaven". - thanks - John Paolucci
